Artist: Big In Japan

Album: Zoo: Uncaged 1978-1982

Appears On (Mixes): Aila's Mp3 Of The Week

Song Notes: Big In Japan were a band based in Liverpool in the late 70s, mostly known for having members who later went on to bigger, more successful bands. These included Bill Drummond (The KLF), Ian Broudie (Lightning Seeds), Holly Johnson (Frankie Goes To Hollywood), Jayne Casey (Pink Industry), and some others I can't think of at the moment! They also had a reputation for being terrible. But I sort of actually like this song. It's vaguely like X-Ray Spex without the sax, although the singer isn't really fit to lick the boots of Poly Styrene. Still, not a bad song if you like 70s style new wave / punk. - Ailas
