Supersister was a Dutch rock band from the Hague, consisting of Robert Jan Stips (keyboards, vocals), Sacha van Geest (flute), Marco Vrolijk (drums) and Ron van Eck (bass guitar). The Group was active in the first half of the 1970s and played progressive rock, ranging from jazz to pop.

The band originated from the school band The for companies[1on the Grotius lyceum, and started around 1967 as Sweet OK supersister with as a singer and songwriter Rob Douw, which the group a more psychedelic direction opduwde but soon after left the band. While Deleon Dutch-language songs on topics such as blue dwarfs had written, the group now continues as a more serious musical Quartet under the shortened name supersister. They spent mainly instrumental or English-language songs. The band's style was adventurous keys-driven progressive rock similar to the Canterbury scene.

Super sister debuted at the beginning of 1970 with the single She Was Naked/Spiral Staircase after which the Group was allowed to play on the Holland Pop Festival . She was naked was a hit and the Group should record the album Present from Nancy . Super sister scored further hits like A girl named you and Radio. After three albums the Group's spirit and left Happy. The survivors made still more jazz rock-like Iskander, a concept album about Alexander the great, with Charlie Mariano (wind instruments) and Herman van Baker (drums). After this album was released under the name Spiral Staircase still Sweet Okay supersister. This was a project by Spirit and Robert Jan Stips. The last continued as keyboardist at Golden Earring.

After a tryout on 16 August 2000 in Delft, made her comeback in september 2000 Super sister, in the original occupation, American festival on the Progfest in Los Angeles and gave there between november 2000and may 2001 in a sequel to Netherlands. On 29 July of that year died flutist Sacha van Geest and with it came a definitive end to the band. In april 2006, a Super sister DVD with the familiar name Sweet OK supersister, which contains old and newer recordings. In addition to a concert in Paradiso in 2000 includes the double-DVD the documentary live in Los Angeles, some old video pictures, lots of pictures and some never released audio tracks. In 2011, the band as a trio another performance at Nearfest 2011. However, this concert had to be cancelled because of the death of bassist Ron van Eck on 20 July of that year.
