Song Notes: Vivian Stanshall (along with Neil Innes) was one of the leaders of the Bonzo Dog Band. When the Bonzos broke up, Neil Innes had a few solo projects and albums, although Vivian Stanshall ended up having much less in the way of albums, and typically just put out some singles with various bands that would come together and then break apart very quickly (for example; the a-side and b-side of this single are recorded by two different Vivian Stanshall bands). Some of them have had some very famous members, though—the Vivian Stanshall Sean Head Showband had Eric Clapton in (and he'd also played with the Bonzos on occasion). He eventually started doing solo records, although his first (produced by Steve Winwood), Men Opening Umbrellas Ahead isn't really very good. This is a cover of the Terry Stafford song, and this IS very good. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
