Appears On (Mixes): Wally's Novelty Mix: She Yo-Yos Me and I Yo-Yo Her Back, Revme.Vox.Com

Song Notes: Wally's Novelty Mix: She Yo-Yos Me and I Yo-Yo Her Back: This is another song that I originally found by a band doing a cover of it. This time, it was the local group Purty Mouth, who did this one when I saw them open for Blanche and The Ditty Bops. They announced it as a cover, but didn't say who it was by. I absolutely adored the song, and as soon as I got home, I looked up the lyrics on google, to see if I could figure out who it was, and it turned out it was Kirsty MacColl, who I ended up really getting into. She's one of those people who's had brushes with Stardom; she wrote Tracey Ullman's big hit song They Don't Know (also recorded by The Young Fresh Fellows) and she also did the duet with Shane MacGowan on The Pogues' brilliant Christmas song "Fairytale Of New York". Unfortunately, she died in a boating accident on December 18, 2000 (but announced to the world on Christmas Day). - Rev. Syung Myung Me

Revme.Vox.Com: This is one of my all-time favorite Kirsty MacColl songs, and oddly/angrily enough, it's not available on CD, since it's on her first record which has inexplicably never been issued on CD. Stupid record labels not releasing good stuff. This one is a great example of her brilliant sense of humor; the song is catchy and musically great, but lyrically, it's hilarious and just a little bit sad, too. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
