The Easybeats was an Australian rock band from the 60 's.

A Dutch emigrant, Harry van den Berg, changed its name in Australia in mid-1960s founded together with Vanda and George Young (the older brother of Angus Young ofAC/DC) born in Hilversum and the Dick Diamonde (Dingeman Ariaan Henry van der Sluijs, in Australia changed to Dick van der Sluys) the group The Easybeats on. their biggest success was Friday on My Mind , which was a huge hit around the world. Other songs of the group are Hello, how are you and The Land Of Make Believe, that in Netherlands the Hit Parade still took out.

After the dissolution of The Easybeats in 1969 Vanda and Young first worked for some years together as producers (they did, among other things, the first solo album by the Easybeats frontman Stevie Wright) to about 1977 the band Flash and the Pan to form.

In 1986 came the original cast back together for a one-off reunion tour.

Good times was covered by INXS in collaboration with rock singer Jimmy Barnes.

In 2000 toured there a occupation of the Easybeats through Europe without the original members.
