The first They Might Be Giants album probably isn't the best place to start; it's a bit more Experimental than their later albums (their Residents influence really tends to show on this one, though not as much as the Dial-A-Song tapes), though there are some really great pop songs on here, too—the single "Don't Let's Start", "Put Your Hand Inside The Puppet Head" or "Rhythm Section Want Ad" (with its Raymond Scott inspired accordion solo). It's a good album, but not quite as cohesive as the rest—if you're new to They Might Be Giants, you should definitely get this one, but probably after picking up Lincoln or John Henry. - Rev.
