Timothy Charles Buckley III (Washington D.C.14 February 1947 - Santa Monica29 June 1975) was an American singer-songwriter.

He combined during his short career in the late ' 60s and ' 70 different types of music as jazzfunksoul and avant-garde music in a unique style. His Song to the siren song in 1984 got fame in Netherlands in the execution by the British project This Mortal Coil.

He is the father of singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley.
