Artist: Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Album: Blood And Chocolate
Appears On (Mixes): De Revrum's Crash Course In De Muzikum Educatchum
Song Notes: I think Blood And Chocolate was my first Elvis Costello record. Either that, or, like, second. And I actually really liked it, though it's not really an album I listen to a whole lot anymore (I tend to prefer This Year's Model or Imperial Bedroom, to be honest). I'm not sure if I'd still put this one on—maybe not, as it is 6 minutes long, and that's a lot of room. Or, if I were gonna put a 6 minute song from that record on, it'd probably be "I Want You" now. In fact, I'm not sure why I put this one on instead of that one. Oh well. Hm. Probably the line "Japanese God-Jesus Robots/Telling teenage fortunes/For all we know or all we care/They may as well be martians". And I like the travelogueness of the lyrics, and the thing about the KKK convention. Hm. Maybe I would keep this one on. I don't know. Either way, though, it's a good one. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
