Artist: Dead Kennedys
Appears On (Mixes): Dub Club: HEY! Where's All The They Might Be Giants?! - Matt
Song Notes: This is probably one of the only times I've done a thematic link like this, since the previous track was by David Lynch and this one name-checkes Eraserhead. So there you go. I kinda dig the Dead Kennedys, though I always thought they started out as a bitchin' novelty band who ended up kinda getting hit in the head and doing more dull politically-driven stuff. Even though there was political stuff on Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables and all, it just seemed less... somethin'. I mean, man, Jerry Brown for president? Was that even ever a risk? Oh well. They've got some BITCHIN' hooks, though, and East Bay Ray was a ninja guitarist. And sometimes Jello Biafra's vocals worked. Not so much on his spoken word stuff, though. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
