Tool is an alternative metal band formed in 1990 with lead singer Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Paul D'Amour (later replaced by Peach's Justin Chancellor), and drummer Danny Carey. In 1992, they released the EP Opiate. 1 year after, they released their debut studio album, Undertow. This would be their only full-length album to feature Paul D'Amour (aside from the live album Salival). In 1996, they released their second full-length album and first with Justin Chancellor, Ænima. Tracks from this include Stinkfist, H., Forty-Six & 2, and (-) Ions. In 2000, they would release the previously-mentioned live album Salival. This is the band's only live album and the only album by them not to be released digitally. This album contains covers of the previously-mentioned band Peach's song "You Lied" and Led Zeppelin's hit "No Quarter". 1 year later, Lateralus was released. Tracks include the title track, The Grudge, Schism, and the two-song set Parabol/Parabola. Then, in 2006, they would release the album 10,000 Days. Hits include The Pot and Vicarious. Then they would break up and go on hiatus. In 2019, they released their last album to date, Fear Inoculum.
