Musically a rock song,[1][2] it's been more specifically described as post-hardcore[3][4] and emo.[4] It was released on 25 August 2015 on the bands official Vevo account.[5]

A couple of days before the song was uploaded to Vevo, videos and images containing the phrase "True Friends stab you in the front" were released on social media by the bands and members official accounts,[6] In late September the band confirmed via Facebook that the song will serve as the second official single from That's the Spirit.[7]
