ReviewEdit

The first Mono Puff album is a collection of new songs, songs re-recorded from the Hello EP, and other re-recorded or re-mixed rarities. "Hello Hello" is a remix of a song from the Hello (The Band) project and "Don't I Have The Right" was a very old Dial-A-Song. Some of the re-recordings work (the longer "Nixon's The One" or "Unsupervised, I Hit My Head"), but others don't ("So Long, Mockingbird" recorded here with instrumentation, versus the original a capella version). The only track from the Hello EP that's missing is "Tryptophane", which was the best song from that, but did appear later on the Devil Went Down To Newport EP. It's pretty good, but a little uneven, and the follow-up, It's Fun To Steal is much better. - Rev. Syung Myung Me
