    Superbowl Halftime Show

    From what I've seen regarding the Superbowl halftime show with Madonna, it seems like people either loved it or hated it.

    Of course, people complained of obvious lip synching, but that's basically what you get with any live show, especially at a big event like the Superbowl. Plus, it's not like Madonna was lip synching to someons else's music--it was still her voice and I'm sure she was singing on top of the recording, not being completely silent.

    Fans of Nicki Minaj and Cee Lo Greene were pretty happy to see them make their appearances. And Cee Lo in that long, sequin-covered choir robe was a mix of absolutely hysterical and visually exciting...or, if you aren't a Cee Lo fan, it was tacky.

    It's unlikely that Taylor Swift will ever become well-known for beat boxing or rapping, but kudos for her, for giving it a try!

    In this clip, she beat boxes with LL Cool J to promote the 2012 Grammies. Unusual for her, but interesting nonetheless--and it's cool to see her try something new! What are your thoughts? Is she better off sticking to singing, or is it cute?

    Go Adele!

    Adele has officially passed Rihanna's We Found Love on the Hot 100 list with her single, Set Fire To The Rain.

    Although Rihanna had the #1 spot for quite a while, it's time for Adele to take that place instead. But this isn't her first time at the top of teh list--Rolling In The Deep, not surprisingly, topped the charts for seven weeks last year.

    A new collaborative album made for the Occupy Wall Street movement, "Occupy This Album", is being released.

    Some collaborators on the album are Yoko Ono, Willie Nelson, Jay-Z, Third Eye Blind and Devo. The proceeds from the album will go directly toward the Occupy Wall Street movement.     Etta James Dies At 73

    Famous R&B singer Etta James passed away this morning from complications from leukemia at age 73.

    Etta James was born in 1938, and is most famous for her 1961 hit, "At Last", which thrust her into the world of fame and music. She struggled with heroin addiction for many years of her life and suffered from leukemia, Hepatitis C and dementia toward the end of her life. Her album, The Dreamer, was released in November of 2011 and it would be her last album.

    James was inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and has received six Grammy awards over the course of her life. She is survived by her husband two sons, and the world of music will miss her greatly.
