From what I've seen regarding the Superbowl halftime show with Madonna, it seems like people either loved it or hated it.
Of course, people complained of obvious lip synching, but that's basically what you get with any live show, especially at a big event like the Superbowl. Plus, it's not like Madonna was lip synching to someons else's music--it was still her voice and I'm sure she was singing on top of the recording, not being completely silent.
Fans of Nicki Minaj and Cee Lo Greene were pretty happy to see them make their appearances. And Cee Lo in that long, sequin-covered choir robe was a mix of absolutely hysterical and visually exciting...or, if you aren't a Cee Lo fan, it was tacky.
But either way, it just wasn't for everyone. There was no Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, which frankly, I was kind of expecting with Madonna, given her penchant for scandal, but it was fun nonetheless. The music itself was great, and as for the dancing and visuals, it could have been better, but it was pretty interesting and varied. Plus, Madonna's clothing choice was perfect--sexy and interesting without being desperate or just weird (like Faith Hill's weird mis-matching pewter shirt and silver skinny jeans in the promo).
See the show and comment with your thoughts--there's room for debate here!
