Artist: The Tubes

Album: The Tubes, T.R.A.S.H.

Appears On (Mixes): Mp3s Posted At Phancy.Com

Song Notes: This is one of the biggest Tubes songs, at least from their earlier years (before they signed with Capitol and had The Completion Backward Principle and Outside Inside, which actually gave them some pretty huge hits which are all still played today on the radio and all). This isn't the album version (available on the self-titled record, which has a front sleeve I've always loved, though it loses something when transferred to CD), but a version from the T.R.A.S.H. release, which has a live version introduction stapled on to an edit of the album version. It's pretty cool, and it's a version folks might not have heard, since T.R.A.S.H. was basically a best-of with a few b-sides thrown on to get folks to buy it.

Anyway, though, it's real sad about Vince, so check these out. And, hey, you might also want to track down a copy of Ladies & Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains where he and Fee Waybill, the lead singer for the Tubes, play the main guys in a metal band—and, oddly enough, Vince's character ends up dying too. Man, he better worry about getting typecast.... -Rev. Syung Myung Me
