[edit] Musician Biography

Willie Nelson started his career as a songwriter, writing hits for Ray Price, Faron Young, Roy Orbison and, perhaps most notably, the song "Crazy" for Patsy Cline. During this time, he'd had some singles of his own, which were moderate successes, but frustrated by the music industry, he ended up retiring in the 1960s. Luckily, he didn't stay retired, and continued to put out some of the most beloved songs and albums in Country music.
