Review: The lyrics on this single are by Ernest Noyes Brookings, a resident of a nursing home catalogued in David Greenberger's comic book/zine Duplex Planet. In the mid-1990s, a Ernest Noys Brookings tribute record came out with a bunch of different bands putting his poetry/sayings to music. The Young Fresh Fellows did one, as did Andy Partridge from XTC, Brave Combo, and Fred Frith among many others. Turns out, there's FOUR volumes of CDs -- the Young Fresh Fellows are on the second. They're OK -- the lyrics are sort of naive, but that's part of the charm. I think the Young Fresh Fellows do better than Andy Partridge did with "Rocket". - Rev. Syung Myung Me
